AeLearning Platform Documentation

The definitive guide to navigating your courses, leveraging specialized tools, and connecting with the African trade community.

1. Getting Started

Account Setup

To begin your learning journey, you must first create an account. Click the "Sign Up" button on the homepage and provide your name, email, and country of residence. Your country information is used to tailor content related to regional trade blocs.

System Requirements

AeLearning is compatible with all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). We recommend a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 and a stable internet connection for optimal video playback and tool usage.

2. Course Management

Navigating Course Modules

Each course is divided into sequential modules. You must complete the tasks (reading, video, or quizzes) in the current module before proceeding to the next. Your progress is automatically saved to the cloud.

  • Video Content: All videos are streamed and support multiple quality settings for varying internet speeds across the continent.
  • Reading Materials: Documents can be viewed directly on the platform or downloaded for offline study where permitted by the content license.

Tracking Progress

Your dashboard provides a visual breakdown of your completion percentage for each enrolled course. The progress bar updates in real-time as you complete activities, quizzes, and projects.

3. Assessments & Certification

Quizzes and Exams

Quizzes are located at the end of most modules. Final exams must be passed with a score of 70% or higher to qualify for certification. You typically have three attempts to pass the final exam.

Note: All assessments are timed. Be sure to review all module materials before starting the final exam.

Downloading Your Certificate

Once you achieve the passing grade, a 'Download Certificate' link will appear on your course dashboard. Certificates are provided as a PDF document suitable for sharing digitally or printing.

4. Specialized Trade Tools

Regional Customs Calculator

This exclusive tool helps users estimate duties and tariffs based on the goods' origin and destination within African regional economic communities (e.g., ECOWAS, COMESA, SADC). Use the HS Code Lookup feature to ensure accurate classification.

Logistics Partner Directory

AeLearning provides a curated list of verified logistics providers, freight forwarders, and trade finance institutions operating in key African markets. Filter results by country or service type.

5. Community & Support

Community Forums

Engage with fellow learners and instructors in the dedicated course forums. Use the forums to ask content questions, discuss real-world trade scenarios, and build your professional network.
